Public Speaking Course is a skills-based course which provides instruction and practice in delivery of speeches and presentations (in English) within a public setting and group conversations. This course is about concepts, models and techniques of communication; speech adjustment for different occasions and audiences; material selection and structure. We will learn how to effectively support your ideas, how to interact with the audience, how to make your sense of humor your selling point and how to be an excellent speaker in academic settings, in the workplace, and in the community. The course’s goal is to prepare students to share their knowledge, pitch their ideas and deliver speeches in a style of TEDx.
